Mountain Club Meeting
Date: June 28th, Saturday Evening
Place: Sage Park, Picnic Table next to the parking area
In Attendance: Grampa, Alden, Andy, The Mo and Hayden
Grampa brought the first official Mountain Club meeting to order. Several
items were discussed and ruled on.
The "Official Meeting Place" will be "Sage Park" at the top of the mountain.
Either of the two picnic tables next to the parking lot or sitting in the car in
case of rain will be okay. All Club rulings will be made at the official meeting
place. The majority rules concept will be in effect.
Club Rulings
- The first item to be ruled on was Junior Membership. Grampa made a motion
that Sadie, Elise, Kayla, Gavin and Kendall will be considered Junior members.
Alden seconded the motion and Grampa asked for all those in favor to raise
their hands and the motion was carried.
- The second item was the minimum age to become a senior member. Grampa made
a motion that the age of 5 will be the minimum age to become senior member.
Hayden seconded the motion and all those in favor were asked to raise their
hands and the motion carried. Andrew however wanted age 7 to be the minimum
age.
- The next item was regarding the addition of another official rock named
Falcon Rock by Andrew. All the members viewed the rock on the way up the
mountain earlier. Falcon Rock would become the fourth official rock after
"Dog Rock named by Grampa, Donut Rock named by Alden and Turtle Rock named by
Hayden. Grampa made a motion to except 'Falcon Rock" as an official rock and
Andy seconded the motion. The motion was carried after a show of hands.
Another item that was brought up by Alden but not ruled on was having
official club shirts made. Alden suggested that Aunt Stacey could be asked to
embroider the shirts.
The meeting was adjourned.
